How We Work

We are a member-driven organization. What the members are interested in pursuing is what we work on. To make things happen, you need to be vocal.

We are volunteer-driven, because we know our business best. Ad hoc Committees are formed to develop ideas and undertake projects, for instance, choosing items for the Catalogue, or promoting the Little Big Bash, our annual "night out" for the Canadian toy industry.

Retailers and Suppliers work together on projects as much as possible. We are ultimately working towards the same goal, and both types of members consistently say that it is very useful to hear the others’ perspective.

We co-operate and collaborate. For instance, two retail members in the same geographic area, who both wish to participate in the Fall Catalogue, must be willing to work out distribution territories for the catalogue.
