    Retailer driven content that reflects your store. Last year’s participants rated over 65% of the catalogue items as either “fantastic” or “good” on a survey of sales performance. Typically about 33 suppliers are represented in 16 pages. Voting starts in late April and finishes by June 1.

    Low prices based on how many catalogues are ordered. AND fair freight: We charge the same for freight per catalogue to all members, so those stores who are farther from Toronto aren't penalized for being far away.

  3. Toy-buying guide. This web page is devoted to something only NETS can provide: a “toy-buying guide” based on our Gold Star Awards. We talk about tips on buying toys, and toys for “ages and stages.

  4. The chance to try new product. Retailers share exciting new product they see in Toronto, New York and elsewhere, and we work with new suppliers to support small opening orders.

  5. Gold Star Awards
    June & November media coverage of the summer & fall GSA’s. We give awards in a variety of categories based on our own professional expertise plus the feedback of our tens of thousands of customers. From past experience, expect instant customer response at your store. Promotional flyers are provided for you to use as instore hand outs for customers, and great “gold star” stickers for products.

    The Nets consumer friendly site has a listing of all paid members. Consumers can search for stores by province, city or name. The site includes our Toy Buying Guide and the latest Gold Star product listing.

  7. Membership
    Invaluable networking, sharing of information, and a whole group of people to bounce ideas and questions off of. Each January we organize the Little Big Bash, the biggest bash for the “little guys” of the Canadian toy industry.

  8. Modest membership fee. Our fees are based on annual sales. You can’t afford NOT to be a member!


Membership Criteria

Qualifications for Retail Members
An Organization is eligible to be a Retail Member where it is an Organization which, as determined in the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, is an owner-operated retail Organization with its head office in Canada, serving as a community destination for specialty toys, with its primary business being the retail sale of specialty toys, and maintaining a bricks and mortar full service environment.

Qualifications for Supplier Members
An Organization is eligible to be a Supplier Member where it is an Organization which, as determined in the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, conducts business in Canada, manufactures, distributes and/or imports quality products for the specialty toy market in Canada; and offers services and programs that support specialty/toy retailers in their efforts to maintain a full-service environment.

Qualifications for Independent Sales Agent Members
An Organization is eligible to be a Independent Sales Agent Member where it is an Organization which, as determined in the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, conducts business in Canada, sells products for the specialty toy market in Canada, and offers services and programs that support specialty toy retailers in their efforts to maintain a full-service environment.
